Feature Story
A Widow's and A Community's Triumph

   Ms. Maimona Dagulungan, a widow, is one of 50 persons selected to participate in the MTF-RDP's Learning, Livelihood, and Food Sufficiency Project (LLFS) in Barangay Malisbong, Municipality of Palimbang, Sultan Kudarat. The LLFS is a project of the MTF-RDP that aims to provide the poorest and vulnerable groups in MTF-RDP sites the opprtunity to improve their social and economic status. It has a strong gender focus as its beneficiaries are mostly women and some male out of school youths (OSY). LLFS emphasizes the literacy component as an instrument for enabling the women and the OSYs to engage and manage their livelihood projects.

The eMindanao Portal is a web-based site for information on the Mindanao Trust Fund Program, World Bank and other projects in Mindanao. It has been designed to be a visual and collaboration tool for the World Bank and other collaborators from the donor community, private sector groups, civil society organizations involved in project implementation and management in Mindanao.

All viewers have access to the basic information about on-going development projects funded by the World Bank in Mindanao and the HTML maps of these projects. All viewers also have access to the links to government and other partners.
